Peacefully at LHSC-University Hospital on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 of London at the age of 64. Cherished wife and best friend of Chris LeBarr for over 18 years. Much loved daughter of Betty (Ratz) and the late Don McIntosh. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Robert McIntosh, Darlene and Mac McSwain, Lynn LeBarr and Jack Sullivan, Ann Thompson and Rob Morgan, Ted LeBarr and Michele Mann, and the late Michael LeBarr. Aunt Kathy will be dearly missed by Jason, Chad, Joey, Ben, Jessica, Clayton, and Sam. She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and close friends.
Kathy was so proud of her teaching career spanning well over 30 years. She finished teaching at the newly built North Meadows Elementary School in Strathroy. She will be remembered for her dedication to teaching her students, and missed by her many colleagues and friends that she made along the way. Outside of work, she loved to be in her backyard oasis, hosting her friends, or “teacher happy hour”, or travelling south to Cuba with Chris during the winter months. The family wishes to thank the incredible team on 6th floor, Acute Medicine at University Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Kathy.
Keeping with Kathy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held when friends and family can gather to share their love and fond memories. Arrangements entrusted to Cremation & Celebrations, Arva (519-963-4003). Donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, London would be appreciated by the family.

Our deepest condolences to Mrs. LeBarr’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of having her as my kindergarten teacher at Colborne St public school. Several years later, to my surprise she was also my daughter’s kindergarten teacher at North Meadows. She was a kind and wonderful person. She will be missed.

The LeBarr Family,
I am sorry for your loss. Kathy was my kindergarten teacher at Colborne many moons ago in 1986!! I have a favourite class photo from public school and it is her class at Halloween and we are all dressed up. Kathy was dressed in a full clown outfit!
I was able to connect with her again while we were both volunteering in my children’s kindergarten classrooms at North Meadows in the last 8 years. I brought that photo in and showed her and we had a good laugh. I am sure she will be missed by many family members, friends, teachers and children alike.
