William ‘Bill’ Davies passed away suddenly at his home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 90. Bill lived his life with the energy of a mischievous child. Bill was ferociously dedicated to his growing family. He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen of 67 years and their 3 daughters Vickie Rhyno, Judy MacMillan, and Gail Loyens. Bill loved to sneak a cold beer with his son-in-laws Earl Rhyno, Rob MacMillan and Mike Loyens. He was the ultimate patriarch to his grandchildren Alicia, Billy (Jenni), Shayne (Natalie), Tori, Kate (Jordan), Clare, Tayler (Kyle), Blake (Becky), Ali, and his great grandchildren Violet, Hazelmae, Shaylie, Watson, Lauren and many more to come.
Bill will always be missed for his infectious smile and his giggle that let Kay know he was up to no good and let the grandchildren know he was ready for action. The ultimate family man, he was always the #1 fan at all sporting events and activities, ready to read a story book, join the party, or win any game that required rhythm and accuracy. Only Grandpa Bill would jump into the lake from the second story window of the boathouse at 80 years young to take the boys for $100 bucks.
The world has lost a shining light that lived every day focused on how he could best serve his family. Anyone who knew him, loved ‘Uncle Willy’. Simple, unpretentious and ready to serve. Our Bill will be an unassuming role model for the next generation of men in his family for many years to come.
“God bless you and rest in peace. You will be truly missed.”
